Almost 100 Champassak companies fail to pay taxes

Champassak provincial authorities have discovered that 94 companies have not paid their taxes for several months after registering their businesses. An official at the provincial Commerce and Industry Department, who asked not to be named, said that the department has set a 30-day deadline for these companies to meet with authorities and pay their taxes. “If the companies named on the list fail to pay their taxes to the department within 30 days, they will be deregistered and prohibited from operating,” he said.
